The Chapel of the Holy Cross is unlike just about any other wedding location in Arizona. Rising directly out of the red rocks, its striking architecture and enormous windows create a ceremony setting that manages to feel both grand and wonderfully intimate.
Heather and James exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends, with the warm tones of Sedona’s landscape visible beyond the chapel. Inside, the natural light and simplicity of the space kept the focus exactly where it belonged—on the two of them.
And once the ceremony was over, it was time to head outside and have some fun!

One of the best things about a Chapel of the Holy Cross wedding is stepping outside after the ceremony and immediately being surrounded by incredible scenery.
Heather and James were able to enjoy those first exciting moments of being newly married while we captured portraits with Sedona’s towering formations all around them. Between the dramatic landscape, beautiful Arizona light, and their just-married energy, there was no shortage of great photo opportunities.
Of course, the big scenic photographs are always fun, but it’s the laughter and little unscripted moments between them that really tell the story.
