How long have you been a photographer and how many weddings have you photographed?
I have been a working professional since 1992 and have photographed nearly 1000 weddings.
How many photos do you usually take and how many images will we receive?
Millions! No, not really…but sometimes it feels like it.
Usually it’s anywhere between 500-5000 total depending on the amount of time booked. I average about 100 final edited images per hour.
Do you work alone, shoot with a second photographer or bring an assistant?
For smaller (and larger) weddings I normally work alone, but I can offer a 2nd shooter for situations that would require someone to be at 2 locations at the same time or if I am working with specific lighting situations.
Do we own the images?
As I am the creator of the images I technically own the copyright, but I can provide a release on request so you can freely make prints if it becomes a problem with the printer you are using.
Will you provide a slideshow, rush edit or place my images on a USB with custom case?

What about online viewing? How will we receive our images?
Glad you asked. I will include a link and password to your online gallery once the images are posted. Your high res images will be available via seamless Digital Download cloud storage. I always try to make things suuuuper easy. 🙂
Do you shoot some black and white, or all color and convert to black and white on your computer?
All images are shot full color high resolution in digital RAW format. I then work with them on my computer and convert to B&W if I feel the image conveys a stronger feeling in that format. If you have a preference for B&W images, please let me now.
Do you retouch all images?
Yes, every image is handled by me to maximize it’s quality, color and contrast. This is a painstaking process that can take several days to get just right. But, it’s worth it – so not much blood is lost. If you need advanced image manipulation to fix those little blemishes and oopsies, let me know and we can work something out.
What kind of equipment do you use?
Top of the line professional Nikon camera bodies, lenses & all apple products with a redundant offsite file back up in place.
I need to cancel my wedding. can I have my retainer back?
Sorry, the retainer fee is non-refundable. I hate to have to do this, but it helps to protect me and you by making sure that your date is set in stone.
What happens if it rains/snows/windy/hail/freezing cold/burning heat, you know…just crummy weather?
Not to worry. I have worked in the most extreme of conditions and will always try to find a comfortable possibility for all occasions. Ask me about my white umbrellas! They have become famous!
Do you offer discounts for off-season events?
Occasionally discounts are available and are based on time of year and availability.
Can we pay you after the wedding?
No, sorry, but we require full payment at least 30 days prior to the event.
What happens if you get sick and cannot photograph our wedding?
As this is a very very rare occurrence, things happen. We will supply you with coverage from our contracted assistant or second shooter in line with our high end style.
If we run overtime, will you stay?
Yes, of course, my hourly rates will apply.
